Hi all. As you may or may not know, our U15 boys won their Féile football competition last Sunday, a first for a Sallins boys football team in 12 years and is a huge achievement.
Congratulations to all the boys and mentors.
The team are now through to the *Regional finals* which will take place on 29th June.
This will see teams from all four provinces, a team from the UK and possibly a team from USA. This is a really huge achievement for Sallins.
In addition to this, we, as a club have been asked to host the event. As we do not have the facilities to host in Sallins, Clane have kindly offered us their pitches and facilities. Clane won their own Féile and will be away that day in Mayo.
Sallins GAA will be fully responsible and have the use of all their facilities on the day.
Following an initial meeting with Clane this evening to discuss the arrangements, this is an appeal for volunteers to help out on the day in various roles (big and small).
From their previous experience, Clane GAA have suggested that parents should be excused from coordinating roles.
Sallins GAA are welcoming anyone who would like to help out and a be a part of, what will be a great day for Sallins. The more volunteers we have, the smoother it will all run.
If you are willing to get involved or have any suggestions, ideas or know someone with event management experience that could guide us please contact Anna on 0876554810
Thanks in advance
